Explaining GG Optical Bonding: How to Improve Outdoor Display Readability

The GG structure combined with optical bonding is the key path to improving screen readability under bright outdoor light.

The core challenge of outdoor displays is strong light reflection. When an air gap exists between the touch screen and the display layer, light reflects multiple times at the interface, reducing contrast and washing out the screen. The GG glass-on-glass structure combined with OCA/OCR optical bonding effectively eliminates the air gap and reduces reflection.

After optical bonding, transmittance can exceed 90% (editable), with significantly improved contrast and outdoor readability, while the glass cover delivers higher surface hardness and durability.

For bright-light applications such as automotive consoles, outdoor terminals and industrial inspection devices, GG optical bonding is a mature solution that balances display performance and structural strength.
